Join us for a Ceili as we learn a step dance, a traditional dance, or a little song from the Celtic nations of Ireland, Scotland, or Wales. There will be something for everyone and all skill levels are welcome. Simple Sean Nos (Old Style Irish), Scottish Highland, or Welsh Clog steps will be taught depending on the interests of class members. No experience is necessary and instructor Marsha Searle is skilled at breaking down the steps and making them fun and accessible to all, from those who are the earliest beginners to providing a challenge for experienced dancers. (No special footwear required) Marsha has been teaching and performing professionally for 17 years, is a championship Scottish Highland Dancer, has a BA in World Dance, and loves sharing part of her heritage and love for Celtic culture. Saskia Tomkins is an All-Britain Champion Irish Fiddler, and in 2022 received an award for services to Irish Music in Canada. Join us for a fabulous time in this celebration of Celtic traditions!
